The situation
An international manufacturer faced issues with information security and ERP. Security arrangements did not provide sufficient insight into the actual risks. At the same time, errors in master data were causing problems in the ordering process.
The intervention
I examined the technical setup and the processes in which it was used. This made both the security questions and the connection between ERP data and automated orders visible. The conversation could then focus on concrete causes and appropriate measures.
From insight to delivery
The engagement included corrections, implementation support and coaching for the CIO. Technical findings were connected to responsibilities and day-to-day operations.
What this case shows
A problem does not always appear where it begins. By looking at security, data and the organisation together, it becomes clear where intervention is truly needed.
